@Anca – indeed! I had my previous sidebar loaded with junk, and then slowly got rid of all the excess. I like the odd items that add value, but if it’s not adding anything why keep them? So many addons add extra overhead, especially those cute chicklet buttons that have a ton of javascript in them.

@Dennis – Welcome! You know, it is VERY tough to post 2-3x per day everyday. I can usually post 1x per day, consistently. If I need to step it up to 2x or 3x it becomes difficult – but not impossible. But I agree with your analysis – post every few days, then promote in between. I saw several of your posts, and it obviously works very well. I will try this out and report back. Thanks for the GREAT TIP!

5 very valuable tips, excellent!

However, 1-2 posts PER DAY?!?!? Considering 90% of the blogosphere has issues with even 1 per day everyday, I really don’t see that as reasonable…..perhaps if ALL YOU DO is blog, then maybe. problogger Darren Rowes does it, I don’t know many others.

I personally set myself up to blog every 2-3 days and promote like heck in-between…my comment ratio over the past couple months says it’s working just fine

All in all, a fantastic post. Thanks

Nice article, what else could I add? Maybe a “habit” of keeping it clean, be it your sidebar, header, footer or posts. Many many times I’ve come across blogs that are so cluttered that I just have to navigate away, the ads, flash, banners, etc. just make my eyes hurt.
