Practical Tools for your Business

Tools for Internet Business

Hello,

Regardless of the type of business you run – bricks & mortar or virtual, running 0n the internet you need to have the right tools to do the right job.

In my previous post I mentioned James Brauschs’ Info Product Creation home study course.  You’ll notice that that I mentioned that there are 14 videos.  How do you create your own videos without spending a TON of money.

Answer: FREE INTERNET BUSINESS (and even GENERAL BUSINESS tools) tools.

Head over to http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp and pick-up Camtasia Studio for $299.  A FANTASTIC set of applications!  But if you’re like me and don’t want to spend a fortune before you’ve even started to make a fortune check out their FREE tool at http://www.camstudio.org – yes, it’s totally free!  Read the history of the product, and do note that CamStudio IS NOT the same product as Camtasia by Techsmith.

Another great tool from Techsmith and well worth the money is called SnagIt.

Snagit version 8.2 is priced at a very reasonable $39.95 and well worth the money – especially if you will be developing user manuals or other written material and want to include high quality screen shots.

If you don’t want to spend money on Snagit then I suggest GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program).  It provides a great user interface, it’s easy to use and best of all – it is free.

Here is another great utility called PICRESIZE - and it does just what it says, resizes images.  I tried this out – and it’s a great (FREE) tool.

FTP – I use a program called COREFTP, great lite little FTP program intended for non-commercial use.

As I come across more tools that may be of interest, I’ll post them!

Regards,

Mohamed

P.S. I created this post on January 14, 2008 and it appeared (as if by magic) on the 15th of January, 2008.  How did I do it?  I’ll tell you on the 16th… via an autopost!
