Guest Posts, Google Updates and other Rants

I know Internet Marketing is a tough game, the elite do whatever it takes to suck money from you – but this was pretty slick.  A sell-up disguised as a guest post.  The guest post did have some good information in it, but pretty slick (and I mean that in a slimy, used car salesman kinda way).

The part that I found even more interesting is how the sell-up is being “sold” – through crowdfunding!  Yup.  Wonder how many more will try doing it this way.  I suspect a lot more.

What’s is SOOOOOO funny is that he’s trying to rake $28k and with 17-days only $19 has been raised.  No problem.  I’m sure this will hit more distribution lists.

Here is the URL – not linked, of course:

Essentially the “service” is for selling private ad placements on your website.  If you would rather do it yourself, you can buy OIO Publisher for $47.00 and have even MORE control over your private ad placements on your website.

Someone asked me for a list of Google updates over the years.  Here it is.  Enjoy.
