Random Thoughts on Internet Business

I was out surfing the blogosphere to see who is up to what. There was an interesting post over at Richard Lees’ website entitled A Radically New Internet Business Model. This is, in my opinion, one of this best posts. You see, both Richard and I came from the school of hard knocks… we spent THOUSANDS on junk the gurus were spitting out only to end up further in the hole.

Today Richard is doing much better — and I probably could, if I’d get off my butt and do something. But I’m happy where I am and enjoy what I’m doing so I’m not in a rush to get to the finish line.

If I can add to what Richard has already said:

JUST FRIGGIN DO IT! You WILL NOT get anywhere buying e-book after e-book, system after system if you DO NOT put anything into action.

That’s it. That is my sage advice to you if you are starting an internet business, or if this is something you want to do.

When you hear or read about some guru making 6-figures and you can too – keep in mind that they’ve been doing it for YEARS. They’ve built up massive lists of people (probably like you) that buy everything that they dish out. I still get oodles of e-mails from these gurus promising me that I can also make 6-figures if I follow their advice.

It’s ALL CRAP if you don’t put anything you have learned into action.

Can I say it a few more time?

ACTION – ACTION – ACTION – ACTION

Google Page Rank

You know, Google Page Rank does weird things for a site. First, it REALLY helps bring in money because many sites want to be listed on yours due to the page rank spillover effect but it also brings unwanted attention.

Ever since my PR hit 4 in 3 months, the amount of SPAM I get in comments has TRIPLED.

Guh… if I were not so damn lazy, I’d follow the links through and get the users banned on the social networks they are abusing. Maybe tomorrow.

Wow. We must be doing something right! I will take all the credit, because Robert joined just recently. But if you peruse the list you will notice that we are sitting at a respectable 132 — we were around the 300 mark before!

Actually I need to correct my statement – YOU LOVE US that’s why we’re where we are on that list. THANK YOU!!!

Hmmm… I thought I had more to say today. Guess not.
