Web 2.0 is more than helping businesses get over the dotcom crash. Similarly, Web 3.0 will not be just a commercial slogan too. Maybe you would be interested in my recent post "What Web 2.0 is," which is on this topic. The post is not generated to address this issue from its intuition. But it occasionally happens to be a complement to this hot discussion.

TK - no, but you have to speculate as to what is next. From what I've read - the current description of what the Web 3.0 will be is accurate.

My search queries should know when I'm looking for a particular topic what that topic is about; the problem is that you need to build some type of intelligence into that web query or web agent which is not as easy as it sounds.

Coming with a software development/IT background, it's easy to write multiple if..then...else statements, but that doesn't bring logic or intelligence into the agent. How many statements do you write to account for everything?

What you need is a system that understands what that page is all about and based on its understanding it either reports back the information, or skips it. Research is being done on this, but it's still a ways away.
